Animals Available For Sale
Every once in a while, we have animals here at Winterland Acres looking for new homes.
And while selling farm animals is simply part of raising livestock, it is never quite as simple as putting an animal up for sale and sending them on their way.
We spend a lot of time with our animals. We know their personalities, their quirks, who is friendly, who is a little bit too friendly, and who thinks the entire farm revolves around them.
Looking for a new home is part of the journey.
Our Animals
We raise a variety of livestock here at Winterland Acres, including our beloved Royal British Guernsey goats, Jersey cows, Mangalitsa and Tamworth pigs, chickens and turkeys.
From time to time, we may have young stock, breeding animals, milk animals or other livestock available.
Our goal is to raise healthy, useful animals that can go on to become a valuable part of another farm or homestead.
Whether you are looking for a family milk cow, a breeding goat, feeder pigs or your next farm addition, you can find our current availability here.
What’s Available?
Our availability changes throughout the year, so this page will be updated as animals become available.
For each animal, I’ll include as much information as I can — their breed, age, sex, breeding status, temperament, production and anything else I think a potential buyer should know.
I would much rather have someone ask too many questions than not enough.
Livestock are a big commitment, and the right animal for one farm may be completely wrong for another.
Finding The Right Home
Our animals are not simply first-come, first-served.
We want to find good homes where the animal and the new owner are a good fit.
If you are interested in one of our animals, send me a message and tell me a little bit about yourself, what you are looking for and what kind of home you have planned for them.
And please don’t be afraid to ask questions.
I’m happy to talk livestock, homesteading, dairy, breeding, feeding, fencing or pretty much anything else farm-related.
Because chances are, if you’re looking at buying an animal from us, we already have something in common.
You probably like cows.
Or goats.
Or pigs.
Or perhaps, like me, you have somehow decided that owning livestock is a completely reasonable hobby.
Current Animals Available
Below you will find our current animals available for sale.
Availability changes frequently, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch. We may have something coming available that hasn’t made it onto the website yet.
Thanks for considering an animal from Winterland Acres.
We hope to see some of our animals go on to become just as loved and useful on someone else’s homestead as they have been here.
Happy homesteading!
